Syd Barrett was a British singer-songwriter and musician known for being a founding member of the psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd. By 1975, Barrett had largely withdrawn from the music industry and was living an isolated and reclusive lifestyle. He had struggled with mental health issues, including schizophrenia, and had become dependent on drugs. During this time, he would occasionally make public appearances, but was often described as erratic and unpredictable. In 1975, Barrett released his second solo album, "Wish You Were Here," but it received mixed reviews and had little commercial success. Barrett passed away in 2006 at the age of 60.
